Butterfly @ Dusk
Went on an errand run (feeding Dad’s cat) with my love and asked to stop by an old childhood haunt, the Club House in Pinelake Park. Those who live in Manchester, New Jersey will know exactly where I am talking about!
We had summer camp there … and swam in the creek, like fish on a hot day!
Today, I think, they restrict swimming … why? I don’t know, probably because in today’s world it seems dangerous somehow. It’s terribly sad, for decades children played and swam there, unharmed and frankly better for the fresh air and sunshine!
Oh what a fearful world we live in.
But today I enjoyed (carefully) descending the steep, sandy slop to the creek, which was fraught with thorny vines and green-head flies, just like when I was a kid; taking pictures of my childhood, somehow, from the future.
I realized that if I’m going to go on these treks I best wear sneakers; my flip flops were not exactly the greatest footwear for this. But the stop was spontaneous! 🙂
So here are just a few of the shots I got this evening at the beginning of dusk. There are more to edit and post … soon. I promise.

Oh, the summer night
Has a smile of light
And she sits on a sapphire throne.
